Micro Grants for professional folk artists (2026)

About this program

The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) is offering eight micro-grants of £500 each (total £4,000) to professional folk artists who live and work in England to support career development activities such as developing creative projects, producing new albums, purchasing instruments or technical equipment, and funding marketing/PR or personal training. Applicants may be individuals or groups at any career stage but must be working professionally in folk music and/or dance; the maximum award per successful application is £500 regardless of the number of artists involved. Grants will not fund undergraduate or postgraduate courses (or equivalents) nor the development or delivery of new or continuing education projects/programmes, and funded projects must be completed by 31 August 2026.
