FARS Midyear Meeting Connecting to Practice Award

About this program

The Financial Accounting and Reporting Section of the American Accounting Association offers the Midyear Meeting Connecting to Practice Award for research addressing issues relevant to practitioners, standard-setters, regulators, and financial reporting users. The award includes a $1,500 cash prize and engraved plaques for the authors of the paper presented at the FARS midyear meeting that best connects academic insights with current or future practice. Papers must be presented at the FARS midyear meeting and demonstrate direct relevance to practice, innovation, or practice-oriented research. Nominations, consisting of the paper PDF and a nomination letter, are due annually by March 15 to the Chair of the FARS Integrating Research and Practice Committee.
