Millson Award for Invention

About this program

AATCC offers the Millson Award for Invention to recognize innovative inventions relevant to the textile field, with consideration given to their impact on the textile, fiber, polymer, or medical industries. Presented every three years at AATCC’s Textile Discovery Summit, the award includes a plaque, US$1,000 honorarium, complimentary Summit registration for the recipient and a guest, and promotional recognition. Any individual AATCC member may submit a nomination by March 31, including self-nominations; inventors need not be AATCC members, and patents are not required. Nominations must identify the invention and all inventors and explain the invention’s importance to the textile industry; co-inventors and posthumous nominees are eligible.
