About this program
The Materials Research Society (MRS) offers the annual Woody White Service Award to recognize an individual or volunteer team whose long-term service or special projects have significantly advanced MRS and its interdisciplinary materials research community. The award is presented at the MRS Fall Meeting. Nominees must be MRS members in good standing, and any MRS community member—including members, volunteers, and staff—may submit a nomination. Nominations require an online submission with nominee and nominator details and a signed statement describing the nominee’s alignment with MRS values and the impact and duration of their service; notice is due by August 1, with submissions reviewed after the August 2 deadline.
