About this program
The Entomological Society of America offers the Nan-Yao Su Award for Innovation and Creativity in Entomology to recognize practicing entomologists who identify significant problems and develop creative, alternative solutions that advance the field. The annual award includes a variable monetary honorarium based on endowment interest and a plaque presented at the ESA Annual Meeting. Nominees must be current ESA members and may work in academic, public-sector, or private-sector settings; nominations are open to anyone, with no more than two self-nominations permitted annually. Applications are due June 1 and must include a CV, up to two recommendation letters, and a maximum three-page summary of the nominee’s innovative work, within a 20-page electronic submission limit.
