NANFA Conservation Research Grant

About this program

The North American Native Fishes Association (NANFA) offers its annual Conservation Research Grant to support research conserving North America’s indigenous fish fauna, especially threatened or endangered species. Awards total at least $2,000 annually, with a maximum of $1,000 per proposal. Applicants may be academic researchers, conservation organizations, or independent researchers, and applications are due January 20 each year. Recipients must submit an article on their findings for publication in American Currents and are encouraged to present at NANFA’s Annual Convention.
