Natural Disaster Grant (Natural Disaster USA Fund)

About this program

National Garden Clubs (NGC) administers the Natural Disaster USA Fund, offering grants of up to $5,000 per project to help state and local garden clubs replant and restore parks, municipal gardens and other public garden-related sites damaged by natural disasters (floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, ice storms, wildfires, etc.). Eligible applicants are State Garden Clubs or Member Clubs sponsoring restoration projects; a member club may receive no more than $5,000 per disaster within the NGC fiscal year. Applications must specify site location and disaster severity, include a garden-club–prepared restoration plan, an estimated itemized budget and disclosure of other funds received; submissions are reviewed by the Natural Disasters USA Chairman and Committee. Program is open; application forms are downloadable from NGC and should be emailed to the Natural Disasters Grants Chairman.
