About this program
The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) offers the New Faculty Research Grant (NFRG), a biennial $1,000 award supporting research by untenured broadcast and electronic media faculty across areas such as technology, law and policy, audiences, production, and international media systems. Applicants must hold current BEA individual or institutional membership, have completed the applicable terminal degree, and have served at least one academic year as an assistant professor or equivalent. Candidates must also be pre-tenure and not yet under review for tenure; nominations are due December 31, with the recipient announced February 15.
