New Leaders Award

About this program

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) New Leaders Award supports the development and retention of emerging association leaders by assigning awardees to work with an ASIS&T chapter, SIG, committee, or senior volunteer leader. Up to eight awardees receive Annual Meeting registration, required attendance, mentorship, and up to $500 in travel support, with participation requiring a full-year commitment.

Applicants must be current ASIS&T members who have been members in good standing for no more than four years, have not previously held an ASIS&T leadership or committee role, and demonstrate leadership experience or potential outside the association. Applications require a CV, one reference letter from an ASIS&T member, a statement of up to 1,000 words, and three placement preferences; the deadline is April 1.
