New Researcher Article Prize

About this program

The British Agricultural History Society awards the New Researcher Article Prize to the best article by an early-career researcher published in the Agricultural History Review within the previous two years; the winner receives £250 and is invited to present at the Society’s Spring Conference. Eligible articles must have appeared in the Agricultural History Review in the last two years and be authored by researchers within five years of their successful viva voce; there is no application process as all qualifying articles are automatically considered. A Society-appointed prize committee selects the winner, who is announced at the Spring Conference in the year following the committee’s decision (the first prize for 2025 will be awarded at Spring Conference 2026 for articles in volumes 71–72, 2023–24).
