About this program

New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (NH‑INBRE) Targeted Incentive Grant (TIG) provides short‑term funding to accelerate submission of data‑driven manuscripts (reviews eligible) and new or revised grant applications to national funders (NIH, NSF, foundations), offering up to $4,000 for manuscripts and up to $15,000 for grants. All faculty engaged in biomedical research at participating institutions are eligible except investigators already receiving funded pilot or research project awards; awards are paid to the lead institute RSTG and may not be used for PI/faculty salary or travel. Applications are submitted on a rolling basis (solicitation lists a June 30, 2030 endpoint) and must include a two‑page proposal with preliminary data, a clear deliverable and firm submission date, plus NIH biosketches and support letters. Proposals are reviewed by INBRE leadership, include close mentoring and periodic progress monitoring, and may be terminated if interim drafts indicate insufficient progress.
