About this program

The American Chemical Society (ACS) offers the ACS Award in Pure Chemistry to recognize and encourage fundamental research in pure chemistry conducted by early-career scientists in North America. The award includes $5,000, a certificate, and up to $1,000 for travel expenses to the award presentation. Eligibility requires nominees to have fewer than 10 years of experience since their terminal degree and to have conducted research of exceptional merit, with special consideration for originality and independence of thought.
