About this program

The American Psychological Association (APA) is sponsoring a one-year Congressional Fellowship beginning approximately August 30, 2026 that places psychologists on the staff of a member of Congress or a congressional committee to draft legislation, conduct oversight, assist with hearings and events, and prepare briefs and speeches. The program includes a two-week orientation and a yearlong seminar series on science and public policy administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and provides a $93,750 stipend, reimbursement for health insurance, and a $3,500 professional development stipend. Applicants must be full members of APA (psychologists); applications are due January 4, 2026.
