About this program

The North Dakota Area Health Education Center offers a unique scholarship program for health professions students with an interest in rural healthcare. This multidisciplinary program provides hands-on training, rural community experience, and networking opportunities, with a focus on interprofessional education and current health issues.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a health professions program, be at least two years from completion, and have a demonstrated interest in rural healthcare. The program requires a 2-year commitment, including 80 hours of training and instruction, and offers a $1,000 stipend over the duration.
