NZGD rapid upload grants – Request for Proposals

The New Zealand Geotechnical Society (NZGS) has established a $50,000 rapid‑upload grant fund to subsidise NZGS members to upload existing geotechnical data to the New Zealand Geotechnical Database (NZGD) to improve access for disaster recovery, resilience, catastrophe modelling and planning. Priority is given to high‑quality laboratory and in‑situ test results—especially raw CPT data and boreholes—submitted in AGS4.0 NZ format or as raw CPT files, with groundwater monitoring records uploaded via the NZGD groundwater module also prioritised. Applicants and the individual(s) performing uploads must be current NZGS members, must have client permission to upload the data, and uploads already included in a client’s project scope are ineligible. Proposals must use the NZGD data upload proposal form and be emailed to secretary@nzgs.org for weekly review; approved projects receive a lump‑sum payment after evidence of successful upload (invoice to treasurer@nzgs.org with the provided reference), with payments normally processed on the 5th and 20th of each month (allow ~3 weeks).
