The New Zealand Statistical Association (NZSA) awards the Campbell Award to recognize individuals who have made sustained contributions to the promotion and development of statistics in New Zealand, including exceptional original research within NZ, prolonged excellence in statistical education, major consulting roles on NZ-relevant research, or leadership in promoting statistics over a sustained period. Recipients receive a plaque and certificate and are normally honoured as guests at the NZSA annual conference dinner; no monetary prize is specified. Eligible awardees must be fully paid-up NZSA members (all membership categories); nominations may be submitted by individuals or groups (nominators need not be NZSA members) and should include a statement of support and may include referees, with final selection made by an awards panel chaired by an awards convenor.
