NZSA Worsley Early Career Research Award

Offered by the New Zealand Statistical Association (NZSA), the Worsley Early Career Research Award recognises outstanding recently published research by New Zealand statisticians in the early stages of their careers and was established in 2013 in commemoration of Keith Worsley. Eligibility mirrors Marsden Fund Fast‑Start criteria: applicants must be within seven years of PhD confirmation (or seven years of their highest completed degree if no PhD), have completed the majority of the nominated research in New Zealand, be financial NZSA members, and previous winners are ineligible. Nominations (by individuals or groups; nominators need not be NZSA members) must include nominator and candidate details, the candidate’s best three peer‑reviewed papers (published or in press), a two‑page CV, a statement of contribution for joint‑authored work, two referees’ names, and a 40‑word citation summarising the research; next nomination dates are TBD.
