NZSAP: Animal Science Award

About this program

The New Zealand Society of Animal Production (NZSAP) funds the Animal Science Awards from income on a $200,000 capital sum to promote and advance animal science and production. Grants support society communications, attendance at AAAP congresses and related activities, postgraduate/early-career research, international travel or conference exchanges, and invited speakers or workshops/conference organisation. Applicants must be current financial NZSAP members (applications may be lodged on behalf of invited speakers or committees) and are called via the Society Newsletter (typically twice yearly); applications are submitted to the Secretary by the date specified in each call. Individual awards are normally ≤ $3,000 unless benefiting a group, recipients must report completion and appropriate use of funds, and further details are available from the Secretary or at nzsap.inc@gmail.com.
