The O’Donoghue Sports Injury Research Award, presented annually by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Research Committee in honor of Don H. O’Donoghue, MD, recognizes the best full‑length manuscript addressing clinical‑based or human in‑vivo sports injury research. It funds and honors outstanding original research with direct clinical relevance to diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or outcomes in sports medicine. Eligible candidates are the authors of full‑length manuscripts that report clinical or human in‑vivo studies meeting the committee’s scope and standards, with the winner selected annually by the Research Committee.
