OK-INBRE Collaborative Grant

About this program

The Oklahoma IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (OK-INBRE), supported by NIH IDeA funding, solicits one‑year (renewable) Collaborative Grants to support faculty partnerships between OK‑INBRE primarily undergraduate institutions and designated research‑intensive partners to generate preliminary biomedical data that improves competitiveness for extramural funding. Awards provide up to $50,000 direct costs per project period (minimum 51% to the primarily undergraduate institution), with a PI salary/fringe cap of $15,000, up to $2,000 travel, and specified F&A waivers for certain campuses. Eligible Pilot Project Leaders must be Early‑Stage or New Investigators holding a full‑time faculty‑equivalent appointment at an OK‑INBRE network institution (modified‑title faculty require a departmental letter of support) and must commit at least three person‑months (25% effort) with an institutional plan for reassignment time. Applications must follow NIH formatting, be submitted as a single PDF to OKINBRE@OUHSC.EDU, multiple distinct submissions are allowed but only one award per applicant; next competition will be in 2027.
