Oklahoma Rural Infrastructure Grant (RIG)

About this program

The Oklahoma Rural Infrastructure Grant (RIG), administered by the Oklahoma Rural Water Association (ORWA), provides up to $100,000 per project to help rural and small publicly owned Oklahoma water and wastewater systems improve infrastructure and long-term sustainability. The program funds 80% of project costs (applicant must provide a 20% cash or in‑kind match) and is available to publicly owned systems serving 3,300 or fewer people; eligible projects include treatment and source improvements, distribution and storage work, SCADA and backup power, meters and billing/GIS systems, laboratory upgrades, sewer rehabilitation, CMOM development, and similar infrastructure projects. Awards are made based on merit, financial need, and projected impact on system sustainability; there is no set deadline—applications are evaluated in order received and previously submitted applications remain eligible and may be edited or withdrawn by contacting Kelley Brown.
