About this program
The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) offers the Oleg D. Sherby Award to recognize an individual or small group for significant contributions to understanding the high-temperature behavior of materials. The award includes $5,000, a medal, and a certificate, supported by the TMS Foundation through a gift from Jeffrey Wadsworth of Battelle.
Nominees must have an established record of research and publications in the field, with work that has had or is expected to have a major impact; nominations may recognize a single insight or substantial body of work. Nominations are due April 1 annually and require a nomination form, a testimonial of no more than two pages, a CV of no more than five pages, and two to five supporting testimonials.
