About this program

The Wilson Ornithological Society’s Olson Prize recognizes the best book review published in each volume of The Wilson Journal of Ornithology. Named for noted reviewer Storrs L. Olson, the award consists of a plaque presented at the Society’s annual meeting following completion of the journal volume. Eligibility is limited to authors of book reviews published in the relevant volume of the journal, with the winner selected by the WJO Book Review Editor and the authors of the two preceding winning reviews. No separate application or submission process is indicated.
