ORS Meniscus Section Impact Award

About this program

Offered by the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) Meniscus Section, the biennial Meniscus Section Impact Award recognizes an established meniscus researcher for sustained high‑impact research, collaborative leadership, mentorship, innovation, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion; recipients receive a commemorative plaque and may deliver an acceptance address (no monetary prize). Nominations, including self-nominations, require a single letter describing how the nominee meets the criteria and either an NIH-style biosketch or a CV no longer than five pages. Eligible nominees must be ORS and Meniscus Section members in good standing, hold an independent faculty-equivalent position for at least 10 years, demonstrate documented impact and engagement in Meniscus Section activities, and exemplify collegiality and mentorship; current Meniscus Section officers/committee members are ineligible. The award is presented biennially; a call is indicated for 2025 for the 2026 meeting but documentation also notes the award may not be offered in 2026, so confirm timing with the Meniscus Section.
