OSCIA Don Hill Legacy Award

About this program

Offered by the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) and supported by the Ruth Hill family, the Don Hill Legacy Award recognizes an Ontario farm business that has applied on‑farm innovation to mitigate an identified environmental risk to soil, water, air, or biodiversity. The annual prize includes $1,000, profiling in OSCIA communications, and recognition at the OSCIA Annual Meeting; online entries are accepted year‑round, with submissions received by December 1 evaluated and a single winner announced the following February. Eligible applicants are Ontario farm businesses with an Environmental Farm Plan verified within the last five years; contestants may enter multiple times but may win only once, and all entry materials become the property of OSCIA while proprietary rights remain with the entrant.
