OTA Resident Research Grant

About this program

The Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) offers Resident Research Grants of up to $20,000 to support resident-driven clinical, translational, or basic research projects completed within a 12-month funding period. Applications for the current cycle are accepted April 1–June 15, 2026. The principal investigator must be an orthopaedic resident, and either the principal or co-principal investigator must be an OTA member in good standing; research must be conducted in North America. Projects must be feasible during the applicant’s residency, clearly resident-driven, and not intended to subsidize a larger ongoing study.
