Outreach Grant

About this program

The American Institute for Conservation (AIC) offers the Outreach Grant to support projects that improve public understanding of conservation and assist under-resourced institutions with collection-care needs, such as rehousing collections or delivering public lectures. Awards up to $1,000 may defray organizational costs, materials, travel, honoraria, site fees, marketing and publicity; application deadlines are February 15 and September 15. Priority is given to projects that develop community awareness, attract media coverage, and create connections between conservation practitioners and allied professionals or the public. Grants do not fund focused conservation treatment, large-scale initiatives (e.g., collections assessments), ongoing programming, or activities at the AIC Annual Meeting; inquiries can be sent to funding@culturalheritage.org.
