Outstanding Industry Scientist Award

About this program

The American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) offers the Outstanding Industry Scientist Award to recognize a private-sector horticultural crops scientist whose contributions have significantly advanced horticultural science, industry, and the profession over at least 10 years. The recipient receives a plaque at the annual Awards Ceremony; no monetary stipend is provided. Nominees must be active ASHS members, currently engaged in research, extension, or teaching, and must not have previously received the award or an equivalent honor; nominators must also be active ASHS members. Nominations, due February 4, must include a curriculum vitae, a 400-word biographical summary, a nomination letter of no more than 500 words, and three to five support letters, including at least one from another institution.
