Outstanding Information Science Teacher Award

About this program

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) offers the Outstanding Information Science Teacher Award to recognize sustained and innovative excellence in teaching information science. Established in 1980 and presented at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting, the award is sponsored and administered by the Association and consists of a commemorative plaque. Nominees must be current ASIS&T members in good standing who are directly engaged in teaching information science on a continuing basis (academic or non‑academic); prior recipients, current Awards & Honors Committee members, and current Board members are ineligible. Nominations are submitted via ASIS&T’s online portal (submission deadline typically April 1) and must include a 200–500‑word nomination statement, the nominee’s CV, a nomination letter (up to 3 pages), up to three supporting letters, and up to four supporting documents.
