Outstanding Statistical Application Award

About this program

The American Statistical Association’s Outstanding Statistical Application Award recognizes authors of papers, monographs, reports, or other works demonstrating an impactful and innovative application of statistics to a significant substantive problem. The annual award provides $1,000, which may be shared among recipients or supplemented with an additional $1,000 award at the committee’s discretion. Nominated work must have appeared no more than two years before the March 1 nomination deadline, undergone external peer review, and been accepted for publication by that date. Nominations require a letter of no more than two pages, a copy of the work, and the candidate’s headshot; recipients must also provide a photograph and consent to promotional use.
