About this program

The American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) offers the Outstanding Undergraduate Horticulture Student Award to recognize exceptional students in baccalaureate horticulture programs; honorees receive a certificate and public recognition. Eligible students must study horticulture or plant/crop science with a horticulture emphasis and demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, campus or club participation, and departmental service. Each institution may nominate one student, and nominations must be submitted by the department head or designated representative by March 25. Nominees must be ASHS members, and submissions must include a photograph and brief summary of achievements.
