Pathologists in Training Best Abstract Award

About this program

The Renal Pathology Society offers the Pathologists in Training Best Abstract Award to recognize outstanding trainee abstracts in the kidney category presented at USCAP (current year) or ASN (previous year), with three annual prizes of $500 each plus certificates (total $1,500). A minimum of three nominations is required for the award to be considered; the Nomination & Award Committee Chair issues a call for nominations by January 30 at the latest and members have two weeks to nominate. Eligible applicants are pathologists-in-training (residents or fellows, clinical or research) who are first authors of a poster or platform abstract in the kidney category; nominations must be submitted by an RPS faculty member via email to the Committee Chair and include the abstract and a short letter of support indicating the trainee’s status (the nominating faculty should be a co-author and/or from the same institution).
