The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers the Patrick Leary Resource Development Grant to fund one scholar or a research team in creating resources that facilitate study of British newspapers and periodicals from the long nineteenth century. Established from a bequest by Eileen Curran and named for longtime supporter Patrick Leary, the grant typically announces winners in May and uses RSVP’s online submission portal and guidelines (deadlines may change). Eligible applicants are individual scholars or teams; Officers and Directors of RSVP are prohibited from applying, and applicants need not be RSVP members.
