Peter Gavin Hall IMS Early Career Prize

The Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) offers the Peter Gavin Hall IMS Early Career Prize to recognize outstanding early-career research accomplishments and promise in statistics broadly construed. The prize includes a plaque, citation, and cash honorarium, presented at the IMS Annual Meeting Presidential Awards Ceremony. Nominees for the 2027 prize must have received their doctorate between 2019 and 2026, although extensions may be considered for exceptional circumstances; nominees need not be IMS members, and nominations may be submitted by any IMS member by December 1, 2026. Nominations require the nominee’s CV, a nominator’s letter, two additional recommendation letters, and a draft citation.
