Peter Mark Memorial Award

About this program

AVS's Peter Mark Memorial Award recognizes outstanding theoretical or experimental work by an early career scientist or engineer and includes a cash prize (amount unspecified), a plaque, an honorary lectureship at the AVS International Symposium, and reimbursement of travel to the presentation. Eligible nominees are early career researchers in academia, government, or industry who have worked no more than 10 years cumulatively after receiving the Ph.D. and have at least part of the nominated work published in an AVS Journal. Current members of the AVS Board of Directors and the Awards Committee are ineligible; nominators or supporting letter authors may support only one candidate per award per year, and Awards Committee members may not nominate or support nominations.
