Pilot Grant Funding Opportunity (i4kids)

About this program

Children’s Hospital’s i4Kids program is offering FY27 pilot grants to support innovative pediatric research on infection, inflammation, and immunity, funding projects for an 18-month period with awards announced in late August 2026. Applications are due Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM and grants may begin as early as September 1, 2026 (subject to contracting), with a possible six-month no-cost extension following a satisfactory mid-term progress report. Coordinating PIs must be members of the Children’s Hospital community with a laboratory at Rangos or faculty in the Department of Pediatrics and are responsible for submitting the application and progress report; collaborative projects with faculty co-PIs are encouraged, though generally no more than three co-PIs per project is recommended.
