Pilots for Pilots (P4P) Emergency Relief Fund

About this program

The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) administers the Pilots for Pilots (P4P) Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate grant assistance to ALPA pilots and their families affected by widespread, catastrophic events (primarily natural disasters). Grants are intended to cover expenses not covered by insurance, such as medical costs, temporary housing, debris removal, home repairs, relocation, transportation/evacuation, replacement of personal property, temporary child or elder care, travel, and counseling. Applicants must be ALPA members or their dependents and meet IRS and P4P fund guideline criteria that define a qualifying widespread disaster; prospective applicants should review the fund guidelines to confirm eligibility. Funding is derived entirely from tax-deductible donations (100% of donations go to aid members), so grant availability depends on the fund’s resources; application and donation links are available on the ALPA website and Canadian members may submit requests online and access Pilot Peer Support services.
