Pojeta Award

About this program

The Paleontological Society awards the Pojeta Award in recognition of exceptional professional or public service that furthers the field of paleontology beyond formal job duties; the award specifically excludes recognition for published scientific research. Eligible nominees may be individuals or groups and need not be professional paleontologists; nominations are due February 15 (late submissions are held for the following year), remain active for five years, and may be updated annually. Nomination dossiers must be submitted electronically as a single PDF including nominee and nominator contact information, a description of achievements (maximum three pages), and supporting letters/documentation (multiple letters encouraged); selectees who are not current Society members will be asked to complete a PS Professional Conduct Self‑Reporting Form.
