Policy Press Outstanding Teaching Award

The Social Policy Association offers the Policy Press Outstanding Teaching Award to recognise sustained or innovative excellence in social policy teaching and student learning/engagement, with a prize of £100 in books and a one-year digital subscription to a Policy Press journal. Nominations may be for individuals or teams and must be submitted by Heads of Department/School/Head of Learning & Teaching (or equivalent); at least one nominee or the nominator must be a current SPA member. The nominator must complete the nomination form and provide a 250-word statement referencing supporting evidence, and team nominations must state size and composition and include materials such as a head of subject statement, teaching materials, student evaluation, or peer report. The SPA judging panel assesses nominations and will consider team size/composition when comparing entries; no deadline is provided in the source.
