POSNA Registry Grant

About this program

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) funds the Registry Grant to support high‑quality, preferably multi‑center clinical registries in pediatric orthopaedics, covering collaborative protocol development, registry database development/maintenance, validation, methodological/statistical support, and investigator meetings. Awards provide up to $50,000 per year for up to three years (maximum $150,000); typically one grant may be awarded per year depending on application quality and funding, and funds may not be used for institutional indirect costs, personal computers/equipment, or stipends/fees for students or post‑doctoral fellows. Eligible applicants must have the Principal Investigator or Co‑PI be a POSNA Candidate or Active member in good standing; non‑orthopaedic MDs, PhDs, or DVMs are eligible only if affiliated with an orthopaedic department and partnered with a POSNA member surgeon as Co‑PI, and current POSNA grant recipients (except microgrant awardees) may not apply until existing awards are complete and final reports accepted. Applications are judged on significance, innovation, scientific quality, investigator track record, feasibility, and potential for future funding, and POSNA encourages data‑use agreements that permit participating institutions access to de‑identified data and institutional publication rights.
