Princeton Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts — Cotsen Postdoctoral Fellowships

About this program

Princeton’s Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts offers three-year Cotsen Fellowships to support innovative, interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching in the humanities and humanities-related social sciences; each annual cohort (typically thirteen Cotsen fellows) conducts research, teaches in an academic host department, and participates in seminars and collaborative programs across the University. The Society fosters intellectual exchange among postdoctoral fellows and faculty through regular meetings, reading groups, and public-facing initiatives. Eligibility targets postdoctoral scholars working in the humanities or humanities-adjacent social sciences who can commit to a three-year appointment and teaching responsibilities at Princeton. Applicants from diverse and international backgrounds are explicitly encouraged to apply and should propose work that advances interdisciplinary inquiry and campus-wide scholarly engagement.
