About this program
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers Proposition 1 Watershed Restoration Grants to support multi-benefit water quality, river, and watershed protection and restoration projects of statewide importance outside the Delta. Approximately $19.4 million is available statewide, with awards provided through reimbursement over a three-year period and no matching funds required. Eligible applicants include California nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
