Proposition 4 Grant Program

About this program

The California Tahoe Conservancy’s Proposition 4 Grant Program supports watershed improvement, forest health and restoration, biomass utilization, workforce development, climate resilience, biodiversity, and public access projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Approximately $13 million is currently available through California’s Climate Bond, with grants generally awarded on a rolling basis through advances or reimbursements. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; matching funds are not required but strongly encouraged. Applicants must submit a pre-application letter of intent and obtain Conservancy approval before submitting a full application.
