About this program
The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 4 – Nature Based funding for projects that protect biodiversity, restore landscape health, or advance California’s climate goals. Projects must comply with Proposition 4 Chapter 6 and Section 93000, address at least one priority in Section 93020, and reduce climate risks or expand public access to nature. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments proposing projects within the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone; matching funds are not required, and awards are provided through reimbursement.
