About this program

The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 4 – River funding for projects that protect or restore rivers, wetlands, streams, lakes, or watersheds; strengthen fish and wildlife resilience; or improve climate resilience, water supply, or water quality. Projects must comply with Proposition 4, Chapter 2 and Section 91032(b), and support either climate resiliency or protection of the Los Angeles River Watershed or the ULART working group’s revitalization plan. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments proposing projects within the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone; matching funds are not required. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with awards reimbursed and funds encumbered by June 30, 2028.
