Proposition 4 – Wildfire and Forest Resilience

About this program

The San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 4 grants of $50,000 to $2 million for projects advancing watershed improvement, wildfire resilience, chaparral and forest restoration, and workforce development in its jurisdiction. Approximately $30.9 million is available for projects benefiting urban areas, rivers and tributaries, and mountains, hills, and foothills, with awards lasting up to four years; matching funds are not required but may strengthen applications. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments, while individuals and corporations are ineligible. Joint projects may include non-eligible partners if an eligible organization serves as the lead applicant, and projects should demonstrate community engagement and alignment with RMC plans and priorities.
