Proposition 4 Wildfire

About this program

The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 4 Wildfire funding to support fire prevention capacity, forest health and resilience, and projects that reduce wildfire risk to populated areas within the Conservancy Zone. Eligible projects must comply with Proposition 4, Section 91520, include at least one purpose identified in Section 91520(j), and address watershed improvement, wildfire resilience, chaparral or forest restoration, or workforce development. Nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments are eligible; matching funds are not required. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with approximately $20.549 million available and awards reimbursed through June 30, 2028.
