Proposition 68 Grant Program

About this program

The California Tahoe Conservancy offers Proposition 68 grants to support environmental conservation, wildfire protection, forest and watershed restoration, public access and recreation, climate adaptation, and sustainable communities in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Approximately $4 million is available for local assistance grants, including projects that acquire open space, create urban greenway corridors, and advance the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program; awards are made on a rolling basis with reimbursement funding. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments, and matching funds are not required but strongly encouraged. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
