Proposition 68 LLAR Severely Disadvantaged Communities

About this program

The San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 68 funding for urban recreation, habitat protection or restoration, workforce development, equitable access, drought response, and long-term water resilience projects consistent with the Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan. Projects must be located within 1.5 miles of the Lower Los Angeles River’s main stem or tributaries and benefit state-defined Severely Disadvantaged Communities; approximately $3.55 million is available, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis through a two-phase concept proposal and invited full application process. Eligible applicants include public agencies, federally or state-recognized tribal entities, 501(c)(3) nonprofits, certified local conservation corps, and joint powers authorities. Matching funds are not required, but projects with secured matching funds may receive preference.
