Proposition 68 Rivers and Streams Grant Program

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers Proposition 68 Rivers and Streams grants to restore and protect rivers, streams, forests, meadows, and related habitats that support fisheries and wildlife, climate resilience, and recreational opportunities. Approximately $6.087 million is available statewide, with awards provided through reimbursement over a three-year period and no matching funds required. Eligible applicants include California nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
